Nerdy Graffiti

So, I found this a few years ago, in Keene, when I was lying around on a sunny bench in late April. I've been thinking too much and going through everything, because I'm unemployed, and... Basically this is just one of those things that made me ridiculously happy the day I found it, so I spent half of this morning looking for it.
And then it wasn't quite as cool as I remembered and wanted it to be.
I took the picture after lying on the bench for quite a long time, staring absently at the peeled-off mailing label where someone had written "<3 Everyone." At some point, I recognized what was originally written on the label. It's the first sentence to The Catcher in the Rye.
"If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth."

Now that I found it, I can't remember exactly why that made my day at the time. Of all the lines, even just from that book, to write on a sticker and slap on a bench, that one is only really significant because it's the first.
Occasionally, some things hit me just right, in a particular mood on a certain day. And no matter how pointless or common they may be, I'm thrilled.

If this was a journal-prompt (and maybe it should be, because...why not?)it would be: Write about something that made your day. It can be something that happened once, or something (or series of things) that you notice and enjoy whenever it happens. Why do you think it made your day? What might that say about you?

OH, other idea! ok: Take the first line of a book (one you like and know, or not) and use that line as your first line. Go somewhere different and crazy.
